The war in space is largely concerned with detection of the enemy while avoiding being detected. To this end a large number of remote sensor platforms and related hardware have been produced. All of these remote platforms are designed to resist high accelerations during deployment and so may be launched from electromagnetic accelerators. Remote detection platforms are essentially disposable: a warship may carry dozens of each type.
Stackable multiple-segment hexagonal mirrors; detectors and spectrometers; communication system.
